Volunteers - Construction
Habitat for Humanity
works in partnership with families in need to build and renovate decent,
affordable housing. The Eagle & Lake County affiliate is currently working to
finish up construction at the Bluffs this year. The Bluffs is a Habitat
development in Eagle, which consists of seven units, two duplexes and one
triplex. If you are interested in any aspect of building houses and building community, become a Build Volunteer or volunteer for the Construction Committee.
Build Volunteer:
work on-site in all phases of construction, including moving dirt, pounding
nails, raising walls, painting, etc. You may also help out with site clean-up, transportation, or
providing lunches for on-site volunteers. Skilled workers can serve as team leaders,
and those individuals with little or no skill can be trained on-site by our
Construction Manager.
Construction Committees:
This Committee works with the Habitat Construction Manager to make decisions as the construction process moves forward.
Members are expected to have core construction knowledge and experience.
The Committee meets regularly during the building season and routinely year-round.
Committee members are often found working on-site.
If you're interested in volunteering in building a house, let us know which of these activities you would like to join.
Specific information about build sites can be found on Volunteer Opportunities below.
