'Wickets on the Ranch' Croquet Event (August 22, 2010)
 | Sear sucker suits & floppy hats... white linen dresses & cowboy boots! Habitat supporters arrived in full regalia for the first annual Wickets on the Ranch croquet tournament held on the beautiful lawns at the Lazy J Ranch in Wolcott. Players of all ages (and skill levels!) came to support our great cause and a ton of fun was had by all. The competition was fierce and in the end the Brush Creek Dry Goods team took a well earned first place!
Everyone who participated enjoyed the views of the Lazy J Rancha and the incredible talent of the Tony G Trio! And Moe's Famous BBQ and Cowboy Catering kept everyone well fed. Thank you everyone for supporting Habitat for Humanity.

Carpenters' Ball - 'Homes on the Range' Event (March 13, 2010)
 | It was boots, ball gowns, big hats, and leather fringe as far as the
eye could see in Colorado's Vail Valley. Habitat for Humanity's annual
fundraiser, The Carpenters' Ball, was held March 13 at the
Ritz-Carlton, Bachelor Gulch. This year Habitat added a western twist
with their “Homes on the Range” theme, and the 350 plus attendees
arrived in glitzy cowboy glory. It was like “Unforgiven” meets “The
Devil Wears Prada.” Click here to read more in the Vail Daily. Also available is a Photo Gallery of the night.

We are so grateful for all the support we received to make the Toolbelts and Tiaras 2009 event so successful. We are pleased to report that over 350 people, dressed in their finest 'Construction Elegance', attended the event to celebrate the cause of affordable housing in our community.
Everyone was greeted by a wonderful ice sculpture courtesy of Fear No Ice, and enjoyed the auctions, dinner and dancing to Tina Marx and the Millionaires. The Eagle Valley Alliance for Sustainability kept the green theme going by composting all food that night - an estimated 300 lbs. Diana Scherr and Ted Steers won the awards for best "green belt"! Again,
thank you to all the supporters of this event!

A Night to Remember! In celebration of 1000 Habitat homes built in Colorado, and to mark the first 4 of the next 1000 homes, Habitat for Humanity hosted a very special home dedication on December 19th. We were recognized out of 31 HFH affiliates across the state for our leadership in green building and for our professional builders program. Congratulations to all who contributed!
The evening was memorable in so many ways. Over 100 supporters braved the chilly December weather to welcome 4 families into their homes. A special thanks to Laureen Hopkins Interior Designs for making the holiday decorations far more beautiful than any of us could have imagined.
